Suede Leopard

Details

Stamps Used: Wanda - Leopard (JW2)
Wanda - Wild Day (WE97)
Rubber Stampede - Leopard Print
Special Techniques: Squeeze Liquid Applique directly onto white card and then brayer.  I left this to dry for 3 hours, making sure the final piece didn’t over puff and was scratchy looking.  Once heated, I stamped the wonderful leopard stamp (a Wanda stamp from Roz at Stamp of Approval) in black archival dye ink onto the Liquid Appliqued paper and dried with a heat gun (images have clear embossing  – doesn’t stick so well on Liquid Appliqued paper).  I then burnt the LA with the heat gun to produce the different tones – the longer you heat it the darker it gets – gives off a revolting smell though. Then layered the cut image onto several layers of card with dried grasses between and finished with a tile and Liquid Appliqued ‘Have a wild and wonderful day’.  Did the LA behind the writing a bit differently to give a different texture – I didn’t give it any drying time.  The tile is just a cut down UTE tile, with several layers of clear UTEE and coloured embossing ink, with top layer stamped with leopard print stamp inked with black permanent ink and then heated to bring the design to the surface.
