Bleach stamping
Bleach stamping results in an effect similar to resist but a lot less precise (or it is
the way I do it!). Grab a small plate or container - the flatter
the better, a kitchen sponge or piece of paper towel, household bleach,
some coloured card and a stamp. Put the sponge into the container,
pour enough bleach onto the sponge to wet it (not too wet - there
shouldn't be a puddle) and tap your stamp onto the sponge. Once
wet, I stamp onto a piece of scrap paper first (to remove excess) and
then stamp directly onto the card. It takes a while for the
results to develop one hour on average so don't expect to see anything
amazing instantly, give it a little time. This technique produces
some interesting results - often your stamped image will end up as a
lighter version of the card colour, other times it will be a different
colour altogether! Don't ask me about that - I don't know how or
why it happens, all I can say is expect the unexpected!

Bleach Painting
Fill barrel of Niji Water brush (I used
the fine tip brush) with household bleach at full strength.
Select a dark coloured cardstock and stamp image in dark ink.
Emboss stamped image with black, clear or any other colour of
embossing powder - heat with heat gun to emboss. |
 |
| |
Carefully paint inside embossed image using bleach in the water
brush - you may need to go over the same area multiple times
depending on how light a result you are after.
Leave card to dry between applications of bleach or you card may
pill (form little balls that are the top layer of paper) this
will result in a rough looking end product. Leave to dry
overnight. |

Paint
bleached areas with Twinkling H20s for an amazing looking card -
they really pop against the dark background. You could
also colour bleached areas with pencils, markers or water
colours. |

Trim image and mount onto base card. |
