Instructions for Images on Plain or Matt Card
Trim all the images from surrounding card using Paper trimmer or
scissors. A thin border of white can be left around image
to create the illusion of an old Polaroid photo if desired.
For a really distressed look lightly crumple/scrunch the edges
of the image.
|
| |
Beginning with lightest colour of Distress ink lightly sponge
ink all across the image, less is more with this technique
its easy to add more colour but very difficult to remove it, so
apply sparingly! |
| |
Apply darker colour of Distress Ink, lightly sponge around edges
and in patches across the surface aim for this to look sort of
mouldy or like its been dragged through some dirt, like the
image below. |
| |
Spritz lightly with water so that the colours bleed a little
do not soak the card - visible water-drop marks are desirable.
|
| |
Leave to air dry or hurry along with an iron
|
| |
Using sand paper scruff up the edges and some non-essential
areas of the image, this will create a more realistic look. |
| |
Carefully sponge darker ink colour over the sandpapered
areas the ink will grab more here and appear slightly darker
than in other areas. |
| |
Apply a few small drips of Moonshadow Mist or Walnut ink
leave to dry for a dark stain or blot with absorbent tissue for
a lighter stain. Vintage images - finished! |

remove the emulsion from the image, in this case that is what it
is supposed to do, just dont leave too long or the image could
