| Sponges
- I like the sponge daubers as they give a finer finish and allow for more

Dye
inks in assorted colours - I
like Ancient Page
inks. This
project uses Ancient page - Saffron, Bordeaux, Plum
wine, Kaliedacolour - Royal splendour
and Vintage inks in Magnolia. |
Stamps that suit your theme, for this card:
Collections - face, column (Venetia) and pear, Lucy's
Stamps column and key and NonSequitur
key, column top, text and passion. |

PROCEDURE
| |
Brayer
white gloss card with Saffron ink, stamp face in central location on card
in Coal ink and let dry (around 2 hours). |
| |
Measure
1cm around face on each side and sponge on Bordeaux and Plum Wine inks. To
get an even line, work on one edge at a time by placing a scrap of paper on a
parallel line with the face at the 1cm margin previously measured. |
| |
Sponge on one colour at a time along this paper line and along
each edge. Repeat for the other edges, keep scrap paper parallel to
face image. |
| |
Stamp
images in each grid square (created by the sponging) make sure that excess
ink is removed for background images. |
| |
Let
dry.
Edge with gold Krylon pen and mount onto black card. |
|
HINTS & TIPS
| |
Make sure to let the gloss ink dry before stamping onto it. |
| |
Let the whole finished card dry for 2 days before mounting as the gloss
ink can subtly change colour when drying, if mounted too soon the backing card may not
match the grid stamped layer. |
