PROCEDURE
| |
For a basic
resist look, stamp with clear embossing ink and emboss with
clear embossing powder on a piece
of white card. The image won't look much at this point. |
| |
To create
the resist effect,
colour over the top of these clear embossed images (over the entire piece of card) with
a coloured ink, use a brayer,
direct to paper
technique or even watercolours or textas. With the colour over
the top, your white image will stand out beautifully. You may want
to wipe any stray ink from the top of the embossed image - just
to neaten up the look of the whole piece. |
| |
Once you have mastered
the basics there are a few things you can try:
Stamping with
coloured embossing ink and colouring card with complimentary, tones or opposite
colours. The resist is not so stark, a more subtle (depending on
the colours you use) look.
|
| |
Use sparkly
embossing powder. |
| |
Joseph's Coat
Technique. Use rainbow pads to ink image, stamp on white card and
emboss with clear EP. Brayer or colour over top with black or dark
coloured ink - gives a rainbow image for your resist. This is
really pretty and works best with stamps that have a lot of blocked in
(solid) areas. |
