Velvet

MATERIALS

Rubber Stamp (Bold design) - fine detail will not show
Good quality Velvet (high rayon content)
  Iron (plate without holes preferable)
  Water in a misting bottle

PROCEDURE

Set the iron on Medium High - to High heat (will depend on the iron, follow the material guidelines).
Lay stamp with rubber facing upwards and lay the velvet (with the velvety, furry side against the rubber) on top.
Spray the back of the velvet (which should be facing up towards you) with a fine mist of water and put iron (avoiding holes) flat on top - hold for 10-25 seconds - do not move the iron about!
When done your image is permanent - though it may be crushed - so be careful.

HINTS & TIPS

If you place the area of the iron plate that has holes onto your velvet - the image of the holes will be printed onto the fabric.  Not a good look!
The better the quality of the velvet - the better the image will turn out.
